One of the late night political humor shows, Colbert Report, referenced the Onondaga Nation. Host Steven Colbert uses humor to make fun of the American political process. For instance, to illustrate the lunacy of the Supreme Court’s decision that business are people and have a voice in government, he created his own Super Pack raising millions of dollars not to run for President! Therefore, it was very surprising when Steven Colbert referenced the Onondaga in his monologue about the Revolution and Free Speech Rights. I’m glad to see that Steven Colbert recognized the importance of the Haudenosaunee and the Onondaga in the ideals in the foundation of the United States. Awesome!
