The Lazers of Onondaga Community College, for the second straight year have captured the National Junior College Championship. Chuck Wilber’s team featured a number of Haudenosaunee players from Six Nations, Tuscarora, and Onondaga. The Lazers capped off an undefeated season with an exciting win over Nassau 9-8 in Herkimer. Onondaga Nation residents Jeremy and Jerome Thompson and Spencer Lyons played for their namesake and represented very well. As the history books continue to include the names of the original players of the game the people acknowledge their dedication and excellence in the realm of collegiate lacrosse.
