On Friday October 23rd, the Onondaga Nation Council members and its lawyers traveled to Washington DC to meet with the United States Department of the Interior to discuss the Nation’s Land Rights Suit.
The Nation traveled to Washington reminded the Interior of their responsibilities estabished in the Canandaigua Treaty and the Two Row Wampum belt.
These two agreements remind both nations to work together to solve its problems and to polish the Chain of Friendship between us. We look forward to more productive meetings in the future.
