The students and teachers of the Onondaga Nation School are very proud to report that they are one of the nine schools in Onondaga County who had every child pass the State math exam. As reported by the Post Standard,
“Pupils in grade 3 at Split Rock in West Genesee; Minoa Elementary in East Syracuse-Minoa;, Moses DeWitt in Jamesville-DeWitt; Mott Road and Enders Road in Fayetteville-Manlius and Soule Road elementary school in Liverpool posted 100percent passing grades, as did fourth graders at Tecumseh Elementary school in the J-D district record 100 percent passing rates on this year’s state math test. Students in sixth and seventh grade at Wellwood Middle School in F-M also tallied 100-percent pass rates. The Onondaga Nation School had 100 percent passing in grades 3, 4, 7 and 8.”
As quoted by Superintendent Peter Tigh in the article, “”This is quite an accomplishment, and we’re very proud,” Tigh said. “We’ve been doing a lot of professional development in math, and it’s making a difference.”
So congratulations to the students, teachers and parents of these intelligent hard working students at ONS!
