We were blessed with four outstanding highlights- best weather (58°), best showing of runners (66), best trail and best (turkey) chili! The largest population of runners to date attended this 5th Annual event. And the winners are: sdfh

1st Place Adult Female, Carrie Felice (44) 23:39 (E. Calais VT)
1st Place Teen Male (16), Paul Zogg 22:40 (Fulton)
1st Place Teen Female (12), Ellrose Hanlon 29:49 (Manlius)
1st Place Senior Male, Kevin Hanlon (58 yrs.) 23:38 (Manlius)

Trophies were once again crafted by ONS’ teachers Jeff and Chris Cappella. A big Nyaweñha to both of them. Val Toledo and Christina Marnell donated (turkey) chili. Traditional Corn soup was also donated. Many thanks to them, and also to our amazing volunteers, and the people that donated supples/items: Lennie Tucker, Dawn Field, Bruce Hill, Gavin Hill, Matt Noble, Ron Toledo, Kurt Watson Landscaping, Ron Shenandoah, Larry Burk, Sandy Burk and other EMT, Sherwin Hill, Ang Ferguson, Hazel Powless, Shelby Wilkerson, Nancy Weber, Stacy Gibson and Mary Ryan.
“The trail is awesome, don’t change a thing for the Spring Run.” commented one enthusiastic runner.
Juan Martinez won the 5K. He says, on receiving congratulations for being the winner, “We’re all winners. I just happened to be the first one.”
A first time participant said, “It’s not what I expected. It’s a tough course, but I loved the challenge. And I love the woodsy scenery.”
