A day after dozens of local leaders took a ceremonial swim in Onondaga Lake, an official with the Environmental Protection Agency isn’t sold.
Judith Enck, regional administrator for the EPA’s Region 2, said the lake still isn’t safe for swimming, despite recent progress. She said there are serious pollution problems and public officials might be sending the wrong message.
