ONONDAGA NATION — A group of Onondaga Nation leaders and community members are calling for the state to investigate the LaFayette Central School District’s operation of the Onondaga Nation School and its hiring practices following the appointment this week of a new principal.
The group, which includes Tadodaho Sidney Hill, Clan Mother Wendy Gonyea and numerous community members, say a qualified member of the Onondaga Nation was unfairly denied the position. Hill is the spiritual leader of the Haudenosaunee.
