ONONDAGA NATION, N.Y. — The Onondaga Nation School graduation honors eighth grade students who are headed to high school, but the evening is also a celebration for the community.
Onondaga Nation community members gathered Thursday night at at Tsha’ Thon’nhes fieldhouse for the graduation.
“Look at all these people here to support you,” Dean of Students Simone Gonyea said during the ceremony.
The Onondaga Nation School is located on the Onondaga Nation and is for pre-kindergarten to eighth grade students. All of school’s students danced and performed during the graduation ceremony.
