Today, 1,000 acres of the Tully Valley in Central New York will be returned to the Onondaga Nation. It’s a great day for locally led conservation and for the Onondaga people who have inhabited the area for centuries. As the original stewards of the land, the Onondaga Nation will use Indigenous knowledge to manage the area’s wildlife and habitat.
This is another step forward for @potus’ America the Beautiful initiative: we all have a role to play when it comes to preserving our shared natural resources.
