August 9th has been identified by the United Nations as the International Day for World Indigenous Peoples. Al Gore’s Climate Reality foundation reached out to Onondaga’s Sophia Powless to make a statement on Ethino•ha tsha’ Oñweñja•de’ (Mother Earth) on this International Day for Indigenous People.
