Inside Lacrosse: Alfie Jacques traveled the world, sharing the rich history of the Creator’s Game. The late Jacques, of the Turtle Clan, the Onondaga Nation, and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, was a world-class stickmaker and one of the greatest ambassadors the sport has ever seen.
He loved lacrosse, loved the people who played it from all walks of life, speaking of the rich history of the Creator’s Game wherever he went.
To keep the great Onondaga stickmaker’s legacy alive, to promote the game’s sacred Indigenous roots and to honor the members of the lacrosse community who share Alfie’s love of lacrosse and his commitment to its growth, the Alfie Jacques Ambassador Award has been created.
